Responsibilities
- Assists Physical Therapist with the administration of interventions utilized in physical therapy and rehabilitation
- Communicates with all physicians involved in the patient's plan of care and other healthcare practitioners
- Fulfills emergency and safety precautions during treatments and the use of modalities
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and Medicare guidelines
- Aids in progressing therapy programs based on prior assessments and approvals, and prepares clinical progress notes
- Participates in case conferences and utilization reviews
Requirements
- Physical Therapist Assistant State of Florida Licensure
- Driver's License from the State of Florida
- Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
- Two years of Physical Therapy Assistant experience (preferred)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service to the Tampa Bay community. They should possess excellent communication skills and be able to work independently while collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with home health care protocols are also beneficial.
