Physical Therapist Assistant / PTA - Part-time

About the role

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a blended outpatient and skilled nursing (SNF) setting, providing diverse clinical experience while delivering high-quality care to residents and patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in patient care activities
• Perform therapeutic exercises and treatments under supervision
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe patient environment

Requirements

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Michigan
• Current CPR certification
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field
• Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE)

Skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in computer software for documentation and scheduling
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and patient care procedures
