Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient
Lucas Therapies, a H2 Health company, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team in Roanoke, Virginia. At Lucas Therapies, you'll work with a diverse outpatient population while providing individualized, evidence-based care for orthopedic, post-operative, musculoskeletal, balance, vestibular, and mobility-related conditions. You'll collaborate closely with Physical Therapists and support staff to help patients achieve meaningful functional outcomes while building lasting relationships within the community.
About the Role
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
- Treat orthopedic, post-operative, musculoskeletal, balance, vestibular, and mobility-related conditions
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
- Accurately document patient progress and communicate treatment updates with the clinical team
- Utilize Scribe AI-powered documentation technology to streamline documentation and maximize patient care time
- Utilize the Raintree EMR platform for documentation, scheduling, and patient management
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists and support staff to support strong patient outcomes
Requirements
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for licensure
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain as required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
