About the role

We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team and care for our diverse patient population at PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Wausau. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care
  • Planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients
  • Working within the principles and practices of Physical Therapy
  • Further developing services within the PAM Health System
  • Maintaining flexibility to meet the needs of various facilities within the system

Requirements

  • PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides
  • Current BLS certification
  • One year of clinical experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer software relevant to healthcare
  • Knowledge of physical therapy techniques and procedures
