Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - FT Days | Covington LTACH

The Role

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated team at PAM Health. The ideal candidate will have either prior inpatient hospital experience or a strong commitment to learning and growing in this field.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care, planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans
• Assess patients' physical condition and progress, documenting findings and treatment outcomes
• Provide therapeutic exercises and treatments to help patients regain or improve their physical function
• Document patient care activities and progress in medical records
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Participate in the ongoing development and improvement of physical therapy services

Requirements

• PAT license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides
• Current BLS certification

Qualifications

One year of clinical experience is preferred but not required. We value candidates who are eager to learn and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care to our diverse patient population.
