Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

About the role

Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring treatment aligns with established plans and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Follow ethics, standards, and policies set by professional and licensing bodies.
  • Administer treatments efficiently and accurately according to the PT plan of care and physician orders.
  • Communicate effectively with therapists to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Maintain detailed and compliant clinical documentation of patient progress and treatments.
  • Assist with scheduling, billing, paperwork, and other administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to the clinical education of Physical Therapist Assistant students.

Qualifications

  • Active license as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the practice state.
  • Ability to perform essential functions, including effective communication, visual acuity, and hearing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Less than 1 year of related experience.
