About the role
Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring treatment aligns with established plans and policies.
Responsibilities
- Follow ethics, standards, and policies set by professional and licensing bodies.
- Administer treatments efficiently and accurately according to the PT plan of care and physician orders.
- Communicate effectively with therapists to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain detailed and compliant clinical documentation of patient progress and treatments.
- Assist with scheduling, billing, paperwork, and other administrative tasks.
- Contribute to the clinical education of Physical Therapist Assistant students.
Qualifications
- Active license as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the practice state.
- Ability to perform essential functions, including effective communication, visual acuity, and hearing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Less than 1 year of related experience.
