About the Role

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to improve patient well-being, following a plan of care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervisor-directed treatment protocols.
• Assist patients with exercises, gait, activities of daily living (ADL), transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes.
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members within scope of practice.

Requirements

• Licensed or certified to practice physical therapy in the relevant state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, or access to public transit.
• Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and transferring.
• Adaptability to diverse home environments.
