About the Role

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides patient treatment, exercise instruction, and education to enhance well-being following a supervised plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and supervise PT directives, performing only qualified procedures, and recommend plan adjustments.
• Assist patients with active/passive exercises, gait, activities of daily living (ADL), transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Monitor, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers within the scope of practice.
• Function effectively in diverse home environments, regardless of patient background.

Requirements

• Current licensure, registration, or certification to practice in the state.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation.
• Availability for weekend rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
• Physical ability for patient mobility tasks.
