Key Responsibilities
- Aid in implementing treatment plans developed by licensed physical therapists.
- Lead patients through prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities.
- Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques and provide feedback.
- Maintain patient safety and effectiveness during exercise sessions.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, body mechanics, and pain management.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and document progress.
- Communicate regularly with supervising physical therapists, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Accredited degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current license/certification in the state of practice
