Physical Therapist Assistant - PRN

About the role

The Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care to individuals with various medical conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of care under the supervision of a licensed PT.
• Delegates and directs supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care services.
• Communicates with supervising PT regarding scheduled patients to identify the need for assessment, reassessment, modification of treatment plans, and other interventions requiring therapist direction.
• Participates in educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and patient care protocols.
