About the role

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is looking for a talented Physical Therapy Assistant to support the physical therapy practice alongside Physical Therapists. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience.

Essential characteristics

• The PTA will be responsible for the care delivery of patients, within the scope of practice and agency policies.
• Directly carries out the day-to-day patient assignments under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conducts physical therapy care within the scope of practice and agency policies.
• Consistently follows company policies and procedures.
• Maintains compliance with applicable federal, state, accreditation, and local standards, rules, and regulations.
• Participates in personal professional growth and development.
• Participates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordination of care and continuity of care delivery.
• Reports all changes to patient findings to the Physical Therapist and the physician if necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Educational requirement: Associate degree (preferred).
• Experience: Licensed PTA clinical experience of at least one year (preferred).
• Languages: Proficiency in Spanish (preferred).
• Certification: Physical Therapy Assistant license or pending license (required).

Schedule

Monday to Friday with 2 evenings until 6:30 PM.
