Physical Therapist Assistant (Bridgeport, IL)

The Physical Therapy Assistant at Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is needed to support the physical therapy practice in conjunction with the orthopedic surgery practice. We are seeking an experienced PTA with 2+ years of relevant experience.

About the role

This role will help expand our physical therapy practice, which serves the underserved community. It is a full-time position preferred, but part-time is also considered.

Responsibilities

• Carries out patient assignments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Provides physical therapy care within the scope of practice and agency policies
• Fulfills company policies and adheres to regulatory standards
• Maintains professional growth through ongoing learning and participation in interdisciplinary teams
• Communicates changes in patient findings to the Physical Therapist and physician as necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy (preferred)
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (required)
• One year of clinical experience as a PTA (preferred)
• Spanish language proficiency (preferred)
