Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement selected components of patient interventions (treatment), obtain data related to the interventions provided, and make modifications as directed by the physical therapist.
- Provide quality physical therapy services including implementation of the treatment plan established by the patient’s physical therapist.
- Document accurately, relevantly, and timely based on the physical therapist’s prescribed course of treatment.
- Communicate the patient’s treatment progression, changes of treatment, and recommended medical follow-up to team members as necessary.
- Educate and counsel patients regarding issues related to treatment and goal(s), safety risks, and/or other issues within scope of practice.
- Participate in team reassessments and discharge planning.
Minimum Qualifications
- AA or higher degree as Physical Therapist Assistant from an institution accredited by Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.
- Current State Physical Therapist Assistant License.
- Current CPR certification.
