About the Role

This Physical Therapy Assistant delivers Physical Therapy and related services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), ensuring high-quality care and positive engagement with both clients and facilities. Services should align with the principles of physical therapy and adhere to Reliant Rehabilitation's standards.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans and supervise Rehab Technicians (as applicable)
  • Manage patient cases and support patients in improving functional abilities and skills under the guidance of a licensed PT
  • Contribute to the development and sustainability of a robust physical therapy program
  • Advance clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education
  • Maintain a current and valid state license and stay informed on developments in physical therapy and healthcare
  • Understand and apply appropriate billing practices and treatment delivery models, ensuring care meets clinical and regulatory standards
  • Follow infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality as appropriate and ensure compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed
  • Maintain a professional demeanor that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation's dedication to excellence in service and client relationships
  • Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license
