About the role
We are Regency Care of Central Oregon, a skilled nursing community centrally located in beautiful Bend, OR. We are looking for caring & compassionate individuals to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility.
- Direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Performs administrative duties as assigned.
- Follows the treatment plan only as defined by the Physical Therapist.
- Trains patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional, ADL, transfer, and safety.
- Reports patient progress, complications, and responses to treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assists the Physical Therapist in performing procedures, tests, and complex treatments.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in assigned State.
- Prior to onboarding and must maintain a current license.
- Ability to take direction from registered therapists and other team members.
- Ability to work independently with periodic support and direction.
Qualifications
- Completed a degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and patient care protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
