About the role

We are Regency Care of Central Oregon, a skilled nursing community centrally located in beautiful Bend, OR. We are looking for caring & compassionate individuals to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes clinical responsibility in an assigned facility.
  • Direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned.
  • Follows the treatment plan only as defined by the Physical Therapist.
  • Trains patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional, ADL, transfer, and safety.
  • Reports patient progress, complications, and responses to treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Assists the Physical Therapist in performing procedures, tests, and complex treatments.

Requirements

  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in assigned State.
  • Prior to onboarding and must maintain a current license.
  • Ability to take direction from registered therapists and other team members.
  • Ability to work independently with periodic support and direction.

Qualifications

  • Completed a degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and patient care protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
