Physical Therapist Assistant
Job Overview
Providence Healthcare of Thomaston is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. We are hiring Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN (Per Diem) Speech-Language Pathologists to provide high-quality therapy services within our skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders, clinical findings, and resident goals
- Provide evidence-based interventions for speech, language, cognition, voice, fluency, and dysphagia
- Assess swallowing function and recommend appropriate diet textures, strategies, and safety precautions
- Maintain compliance with all professional, regulatory, and facility standards
- Support a resident-centered rehabilitation environment focused on quality outcomes and clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Required- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Georgia Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates may be considered
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- PREFERRED- Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, long-term care, or inpatient rehabilitation
- Experience with dysphagia management and cognitive-communication disorders
- Familiarity with Medicare documentation and reimbursement guidelines
- Experience working with geriatric and medically complex populations
