Position Summary
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing daily patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role includes frequent interaction with patients and physicians, implementing treatment plans, supporting patient education, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Auxiliary in the implementation and progression of patient treatment plans
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments and treatment plan reviews
- Inform patients about exercises, treatment plans, and home programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support billing and compliance, including Medicare guidelines
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and team members
- Support facility operations including equipment maintenance and supply inventory
- Participate in team meetings, training, and in-service education
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Physical Therapy

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Alaska PTA license (or ability to obtain)
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
- New graduates welcome to apply
