Physical Therapist Assistant
About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation physical therapy assistant, you will work under the guidance of a physical therapist to assist in treating patients. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's needs, assisting patients through all phases of treatment, communicating with patients about their treatment, and documenting patient conditions and responses.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and executing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide continuous communication with physical therapists, directors, and facility staff regarding patient progress and needs.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment.
Requirements
Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program, and certification as a physical therapy assistant. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
