Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid licensed Physical Therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, trigger point therapy, and modalities as directed.
• Maintain patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with facility policies.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in physical therapy assisting or a related field from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of human physiology.
• Proficiency in providing patient care with a focus on rehabilitation techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
