Physical Therapist/Adaptive PE Instructor

Duties

• Communicate with teachers and appropriate staff on the progress and needs of individual students
• Provide teachers with consultation regarding physical therapy profiles and appropriate short- and long-term objectives within the individualized education plans (IEP) when appropriate
• Provide in-services to classroom staff
• Provide the teacher with instructions and support necessary for them to carry out daily physical therapy programs with all children (STO’s, Rehabilitative Guidelines)
• Observe classrooms regularly, providing brief correction/positive feedback and suggestions to the teachers as needed
• Consulting with classroom staff regarding students' PT needs
• Providing direct service when deemed necessary
• Performing related physical therapy services as assigned

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved program in physical therapy
• Valid and current license as a PT in Massachusetts
• Demonstrated commitment to student progress
• Ability to multitask and take initiative in multitasking
• Finds enjoyment working with a multi-disciplinary team

Pay

$75,000 - $80,000
