About the role
This is a contract position: fully remote, asynchronous, and designed to fit around your existing work.
Responsibilities
- Model dynamic physical systems across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and fluid domains using acausal, equation-based approaches.
- Develop and maintain Modelica models and libraries.
- Conduct multi-domain simulations and analyze dynamic systems.
- Communicate clearly about your work, including what you create, how you create it, and how you assess quality.
- Work in an asynchronous setting and communicate reliably.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in a relevant role (freelance, agency, or in-house).
- Deep hands-on fluency with professional software such as OpenModelica, Dymola, Simulink / Simscape, or MapleSim.
- The ability to clearly explain your work and communicate effectively in asynchronous settings.
Preferred Software and Skills
- Deep hands-on experience building acausal, equation-based physical models in a professional Modelica environment.
Pay
$100–$130/hr depending on your experience.
