Physical Security System Administrator 1

About the role

M.C. Dean is seeking a Physical Security System Administrator 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. As part of the SES Strategic Business Unit, you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates, and maintains electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and test Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM, and other electronic security systems.
• Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems in support of endpoint devices.
• Provide Tier 1 helpdesk support.
• Assist end users in accessing and using client Physical Security systems (CCURE, Lenel, Genetec, etc.).
• Process break/fix requests remotely for physical security systems such as access control.
• Utilize a technology-based problem tracking system (e.g., ticketing system) to document helpdesk calls, troubleshooting steps, and escalate to the next level of support as needed.
• Support daily operations, including monitoring and reviewing system logs.
• Perform root cause analysis on significant issues at the appropriate level of support.
• Implement and maintain updates and enhancements for Security Video Management System, Security Key Management System, Security Access Control System Inventory Management System, Visitor Management System, and other systems.
• Program software for new and existing Physical Security Systems.
• Update Security System configurations as required by projects.
• Deploy firmware and software updates to Security Systems as required by projects.
• Update System Programming Standards (Naming Convention, Configurations, etc.) as required by projects.
• Troubleshoot and audit physical security systems related to access, monitoring, video, or other issues.

Requirements

• BS degree and 0+ years of progressive experience or HS Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of progressive experience.
• System administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving system issues, analyzing system data to prevent problems, implementing new workstations, and system extensions.
• Demonstrated understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Basic knowledge of large-scale networking, VLANs, and routing.
• Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours as required by the customer.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.
• Minimum of IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Pay

USD $75,520.00 - USD $94,400.00 per year.
