Physical Security Manager

About the role

BSG is seeking a highly qualified Physical Security Manager to serve as the onsite security leader for a globally recognized, high-end luxury corporate campus in Marin County. This leadership role requires a professional who combines strong operational discipline with polished communication, sound judgment, and a highly professional presence. The Physical Security Manager serves as the primary onsite security authority during peak operational hours, responsible for elevating program governance, guard force performance, executive-facing coordination, and day-to-day physical security operations. This position is designed for a mature security professional who can operate confidently in a high-visibility corporate setting while maintaining a discreet, service-oriented, and culturally aligned approach.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision and accountability of onsite security personnel
• Conduct daily briefings and enforce professional standards
• Lead response to security-related incidents during business hours
• Oversee structured reporting and incident documentation
• Maintain a visible, polished, and approachable presence
• Support executive presence and daily campus operations
• Serve as escalation authority during business hours
• Preserve a secure, welcoming, and highly polished environment consistent with a world-class luxury corporate campus
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal effectiveness
• Apply sound judgment in sensitive or evolving situations
• Utilize de-escalation skills to manage conflict or disruptive behavior professionally
• Engage employees, visitors, and executives with maturity and discretion
• Administer access control permissions
• Oversee CCTV and monitoring systems
• Coordinate with Facilities and IT on system functionality and continuity

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in law enforcement, corporate security, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and social skills
• Demonstrated de-escalation capability and sound judgment
• Professional appearance and executive presence
• Experience operating in high-visibility, customer-facing, or executive environments
• Ability to operate effectively within a refined, executive-facing corporate environment
• Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism in a luxury corporate setting
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess a current California Driver's License
• Successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of meaningful sworn law enforcement experience at a busy or moderately busy agency
• Experience in investigations, field training, or specialized assignments
• Prior corporate security, executive campus, or high-end hospitality/security environment experience
• Exposure to workplace violence prevention or behavioral threat awareness
• Experience with access control and CCTV systems

Armed Consideration

This position may be structured as armed for candidates who meet the appropriate qualifications. Armed status is not required for the role.

• Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) years of meaningful sworn law enforcement experience
• Must be LEOSA qualified
• Must be willing and able to obtain a BSIS Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit to perform security services in the State of California

Barbier Security Group will provide administrative support to qualified candidates in obtaining the required BSIS exposed firearm permit. Candidates without legitimate prior police experience will not be considered for armed configuration. Armed status will be determined based on candidate background, experience, and overall fit for the environment.

Physical Requirements

• Stand or walk for extended periods, often for several hours at a time, including traversing outdoor areas with uneven surfaces
• Climb stairs and navigate multi-level buildings to perform patrols and check all areas
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds to move or secure equipment
• Withstand various weather conditions during outdoor patrols, including hot, cold, rainy, or windy weather
• Handle and operate security equipment, such as radios, keys, and locks
• Sprint short distances if needed to respond quickly to emergencies or incidents
• Work long hours while remaining alert and focused throughout the shift
• Kneel, crouch, and bend to check low-level areas, secure entrances, or assist in emergencies
• Strong vision and hearing to observe surroundings, monitor security systems, and detect alarms or sounds of distress

Pay

$60.10 per hour (approximately $125,000 annually based on 40 hours per week)
