Job Summary

The Security Compliance Team is looking to hire an experienced Physical Security Analyst/Senior Physical Security Analyst to support the Virginia Electric Transmission business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and reviews various security systems and technology associated with intrusion analysis, event detection, video analytics and incident management.
  • Utilizes strong, critical thinking skills to evaluate suspicious activities and pre-operational indicators at or near company sites.
  • Affords tactical analysis and research in support of security compliance investigations, new projects or facility changes.
  • Leverages various database systems to retrieve, manipulate, and consolidate data from multiple input sources for analysis and reporting.
  • Provides tactical analysis and research in support of security compliance investigations, new projects or facility changes.
  • Writes and contributes to the production of tactical, raw and finished intelligence products.
  • Performs risk assessments to identify potential threats to physical assets, personnel or facilities.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on various security issues.
  • Performs complex analysis using automated and manual systems.
  • Supports and coordinates tabletop exercises and drills of security response plans and procedures.
  • Drafts and maintains physical security policies and procedures.
  • Conducts analysis and research to support investigative strategies.
  • Coordinates and maintain liaison with various internal stakeholders as well as local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Physical Security Analyst: 3+ years related knowledge of security in a public-safety emergency center, government fusion center, or in an investigative or analytical role in law enforcement, corporate security, regulatory, fusion center, utility, or other investigative agency or organization.
  • Senior Physical Security Analyst: 5+ years related knowledge of security in a public-safety emergency center, government fusion center, or in an investigative or analytical role in law enforcement, corporate security, regulatory, fusion center, utility, or other investigative agency or organization.
  • Consistent demonstration of strong, critical thinking and decision-making skills applied in a security environment.
  • Demonstrated use and understanding of security concepts, and sophisticated security technologies, to support investigative taskings.
  • Ability to conduct research and analysis and document findings in a cohesive and concise product for all CIS investigative programs.
  • Ability to review and analyze video and digital media in addition to navigate and utilize modern technology and platforms such as social media.
  • Ability to monitor and respond to security events and to provide in-depth, security expertise.
  • Ability to assess security incidents and to take appropriate action.
  • Ability to manage the flow of sensitive information.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple work processes.
  • Ability to provide leadership in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and to achieve results with little supervision.
  • Ability to maintain the utmost professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to be responsive to tasks from multiple stakeholders while maintaining thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain excellent records for audit, reference, and accountability.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, to provide investigative reports and briefings to Company officers and government officials.
  • Ability to obtain government-issued, security clearance, as required.
  • Knowledge of security issues at an energy company.
  • Knowledge of critical infrastructure protection issues.
  • Ability to process and document multiple internal and external requests.

Education Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Prior experience in criminal justice or a related field preferred.

Other Working Conditions

  • Office environment with occasional travel to site locations.

What You'll Get

  • Competitive starting hourly rate: $65,500 - $85,000 or $81,900 - $106,400.
