Job Summary

Saronic Technologies seeks a Senior Physical Security Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, integration, and lifecycle management of enterprise physical security technologies. The ideal candidate will engage in architecture and engineering efforts across video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter security, and identity integrations, with a focus on cloud-managed systems and identity integration.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer networking, Information Systems or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in physical security systems engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with cameras and/or access control.
  • Experience integrating systems with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals, PoE / PoE+, VLANs, and firewall configurations.
  • Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and experience with SAML, SCIM, OAuth, or similar authentication protocols.
  • Knowledge of access control hardware: door controllers, badge readers, REX devices, electrified locks, crash bars, and maglocks.
  • Understanding of physical security standards and compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST 800).

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Knowledge of network design and function.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and cloud environments.
  • Certifications in Lenel, Verkada, CCure, Genetec and Avigilon.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Role will require working in construction zones.
