Physical Plant Assistant - The Park at University Village

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant to join our Physical Plant Department at The Park at University Village! Full-time opportunity! Earn between $19 and $21/hour, dependent on experience! Day Shift available! MON - FRI, 7AM - 3PM

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and complete physical plant services to maintain the building and grounds of the community
• Tasks include carpet cleaning, wall painting, and minor repairs
• Establish and monitor a preventative maintenance program
• Maintain facility to meet all regulatory requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Possess the diagnostic and mechanical skills and abilities necessary for accomplishing repairs on systems and buildings
• Some supervisory experience needed
• Must be drug free and submit to urinary analysis drug screening upon hire and routinely
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public
