Physical/Occupational Therapy Manager

About the role

This position involves coordinating and delivering comprehensive Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy services, overseeing clinical care for inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes developing treatment plans, supervising therapy staff, and ensuring compliance with department policies and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs, develop individualized treatment programs, and modify interventions based on ongoing evaluations.
• Supervise therapy staff, including training, mentoring, and ensuring documentation accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordinate therapy services, manage departmental logistics, staffing, and budgets to meet productivity standards.
• Effectively communicate within interdisciplinary teams, handle conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
• Participate in professional development, evidence-based activities, and departmental program enhancements.
• Contribute to discharge planning, recommend adaptive equipment, and promote patient health and safety.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and department policies while maintaining departmental quality improvement programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy or a Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist.
• Required experience includes a minimum of five years of clinical practice; preferred experience in diverse clinical settings.
