Physical Medicine & Rehab Physician - Per diem
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a dynamic quaternary care, level 1 trauma academic medical center. The position will be based in the outpatient setting, supported by Jefferson’s nationally recognized Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative and outpatient physiatric services to patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and pain conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that promote functional recovery and improve quality of life.
- Conduct evaluations and make recommendations for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other rehabilitative interventions.
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Experience in outpatient physiatric practice preferred.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Skills
- Strong clinical skills in musculoskeletal, neurological, and pain management.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
