Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation - Travel

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to perform independent medical assessments for veterans, focusing solely on evaluation and documentation, not treatment.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and analyzing veterans' medical records via a secure online portal.
• Conducting comprehensive, non-treating assessments to document current health conditions.
• Completing and submitting VA-specific Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and promptly.
• Assessing up to four veterans daily, ensuring timely and thorough documentation.

Requirements

• Active MD or DO license with specialization in PM&R.
• Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology preferred; residency in a relevant specialty considered.
• Strong typing skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.

• Proficient in analyzing medical records and physical evaluations.
• Skilled in managing time effectively and maintaining quality in digital documentation.
• Dedicated to serving veterans and making a positive impact.

Benefits

• Travel within South Carolina 1-2 times per month.

Pay

Compensation exceeding $1100 per day.
