About the role
This is a full-time role at St. Jerome's Academy in Hyattsville, Maryland. The position reports to the Principal.
Responsibilities
- Teach physical education classes to students in grades K-8
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school’s classical educational plan
- Collaborate with other teachers to ensure a cohesive curriculum
- Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in physical education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in physical education
- Experience working with children in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
