Physical Education (PE) / Health Teacher - 0.85 FTE - West Middle School

Shakopee Public Schools is searching for a Physical Education (PE) / Health Teacher (0.85 FTE + the opportunity to be a 0.15 Building Sub) to join the team at West Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the role

Provides instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability and creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, while working collaboratively with other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Teach Health and Physical Education to middle school students
• Implement multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
• Manage classroom effectively to ensure a positive learning environment
• Build successful relationships with students, parents, and staff

Requirements

• Current Minnesota teaching license in Health and Physical Education
• Experience with differentiated instruction and multiple instructional designs
• Strong classroom management skills
• Effective communication skills

Pay

Salary ranges between $52,020 to $126,971 annually, depending on education level and experience.

Schedule

0.85 FTE teaching position with the opportunity to be a 0.15 Building Substitute.
