Physical Education and 7th and 8th Grade History Teacher - St. Jude Regional School - Rockville Maryland

About the role

The successful candidate will foster a love of physical activity, promote healthy lifestyles, and support the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical development of students within a Catholic educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Physical Education classes to students in PreK–8th grade.
• Develop and implement engaging lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and lifelong healthy habits.
• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Organize and coordinate school-wide fitness activities and special events.
• Maintain appropriate student records and communicate regularly with parents.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the mission and goals of the school.
• Model Christian values and actively support the Catholic identity of the school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Maryland teaching certification or obtain one within 3-5 years from hiring dates
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
• Practicing Catholic preferred

Pay

The salary range is $44,200 to $47,200 with excellent benefits.

Schedule

This is a full-time role and will report to the Principal.
