Responsibilities
- Provide legal expertise and support on a broad range of real estate matters including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, development, and construction.
- Review, draft, and negotiate various types of real estate agreements including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, easements, licenses, and property management agreements.
- Advise clients on legal and regulatory issues related to property, including zoning laws and regulations.
- Conduct thorough due diligence to identify potential legal risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Cook up with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure smooth transaction closings.
- Provide legal advice and support to the business development team on potential real estate investment opportunities.
- Keep abreast of changes in real estate laws and regulations and provide updates to the team and clients as necessary.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Attorney, with a focus on commercial transactions, leasing, and zoning matters.
- Admission to the state bar.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of managing complex real estate transactions independently.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding legal solutions that meet business needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with clients.
Pay
$100,000 - $200,000 per year
