Physiatrist – General Rehabilitation and Consultative Services
About the Role
Provide comprehensive inpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician services and clinical consultation to patients at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams, consulting specialties, and hospital departments to ensure high-quality, coordinated patient care. Cover other PM&R clinical services as needed and participate in the department's scheduled on-call rotation. Supervise, mentor, and provide educational instruction to residents, medical students, and other trainees, as assigned by the Department Chair.
Responsibilities
- Identify, anticipate, and address patients’ needs to achieve patient satisfaction.
- Provide medical services and consultation to patients, including direct patient care.
- Deliver patient, family, and caregiver education and counseling.
- Participate in designated and approved administrative activities.
- Supervise and provide teaching services for residents, medical students, and other trainees.
- Properly execute and prepare documentation pertaining to medical billing and patient coding.
- Assume additional ambulatory and inpatient responsibilities as assigned.
