Physiatrist - General Rehabilitation - Academic Clinician - Assistant Professor

About the role

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Expertise is required in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on General Rehabilitation. Applicants must have an M.D., D. O. or equivalent degree. Applicants must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in clinical care. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and mentoring of Penn medical students and residents as well as allied professionals.
• Working closely with other surgical and non-surgical teams to provide the highest level of interdisciplinary care to a wide range of patients.
• Attending physician for a comprehensive integrated inpatient service, consult service and outpatient programs.
• Managing outpatients with spine and musculoskeletal disorders as well as inpatients with disabling conditions.
• Leading interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

• Broad clinical skills in managing outpatients with spine and musculoskeletal disorders as well as inpatients with disabling conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
• Strong clinical training and well-refined interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm and a commitment to furthering clinical services and advancing academic missions.

Qualifications
