Responsibility
Responsibility for the delivery of a Photonic IC (PIC) for one of Celestial’s key product segments.
- Own all aspects related to the design of the PIC, including photonic architecture & routing, schematic capture & modeling and physical design.
- Work in conjunction with broader analog, digital and packaging teams to ensure PIC meets all product specifications and integration requirements.
- Contribute to the design of Silicon Photonic devices and subsystems to augment the Celestial Photonics PDK.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience OR Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.
- Strong experience with complete Silicon Photonics PIC development (architecture, routing, link-budget development, system integration).
- Strong experience with modeling of photonic circuits and with simulation of Silicon Photonics components using standard tools (Lumerical, Photon Design, RSoft, VPI or similar).
- Experience with physical design/layout tools (Cadence, Synopsis, Mentor or similar).
- Experience with PIC co-design with ASICs and digital control blocks.
- Experience with data analysis tools (JMP, DataConductor or similar).

Pay
Expected Base Pay Range (USD): $158,600 - $237,600, per annum. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
