Responsibility

Responsibility for the delivery of a Photonic IC (PIC) for one of Celestial’s key product segments.

  • Own all aspects related to the design of the PIC, including photonic architecture & routing, schematic capture & modeling and physical design.
  • Work in conjunction with broader analog, digital and packaging teams to ensure PIC meets all product specifications and integration requirements.
  • Contribute to the design of Silicon Photonic devices and subsystems to augment the Celestial Photonics PDK.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10-15 years of related professional experience OR Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Strong experience with complete Silicon Photonics PIC development (architecture, routing, link-budget development, system integration).
  • Strong experience with modeling of photonic circuits and with simulation of Silicon Photonics components using standard tools (Lumerical, Photon Design, RSoft, VPI or similar).
  • Experience with physical design/layout tools (Cadence, Synopsis, Mentor or similar).
  • Experience with PIC co-design with ASICs and digital control blocks.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (JMP, DataConductor or similar).

Pay

Expected Base Pay Range (USD): $158,600 - $237,600, $ per annum
