Photonic Test Coop

Position: Photonic Test Coop. Number of Positions: 4. Duration: 4 months (January - May 2027). Location: Onsite in New York, NY, USA.

About the role

Work closely with our team of R&D engineers to develop test routines for next-generation Silicon Photonics based optical transceivers. Contribute to creating custom hardware and software, and learn how to automate test routines. Design and carry-out experiments, analyze the data, and draw conclusions from the results. Gain valuable skills, knowledge, and experience in a high-growth field.

Requirements

Currently a candidate for a Ph.D., Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with an accredited school in the United States.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret data
• Strong problem solving skills
• Desire to learn new skills, and to push yourself to achieve goals
• Taken college-level courses in Electrodynamics, Optics, and Statistics (nice to have)
• Working knowledge of one or more computer programming languages (nice to have)
• Experience working with CAD software (nice to have)
• Familiarity with software version control systems such as Git (nice to have)
