About the role
The Photonics and Quantum Sensors Group at Microdevices Laboratory of JPL is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to design, fabricate, and characterize advanced semiconductor lasers and optical amplifiers for quantum sensing applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and characterize advanced semiconductor lasers and optical amplifiers for quantum sensing applications.
- Develop and optimize semiconductor-based systems for atomic cooling experiments in space.
- Collaborate with advisors and other researchers on cutting-edge quantum sensor technology.
Requirements
- Experience fabricating GaAs lasers and amplifiers.
- A doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- Strong background in photonics, quantum sensing, and semiconductor devices.
Qualifications
