Photography Intern (School Credit) - 2026-27 Season

Freeze the moment. Tell the story. The Madison Capitols are looking for a Photography Intern who is ready to capture the energy, emotion, and unforgettable moments of a live hockey season. From game winning goals to behind the scenes celebrations, you will help bring Capitols hockey to life through your lens.

What You'll Do

• Capture high quality photos at home games, theme nights, and select events
• Deliver photos on a tight turnaround during games so our social team can post in real time
• Shoot a mix of game action, fan moments, behind the scenes content, and storytelling features
• Aid in editing, organizing, and archiving photos for social media, marketing, and sponsorship use
• Collaborate with the creative team on content ideas and visual storytelling
• Help maintain a consistent and exciting visual brand across all platforms

What This Role Looks Like

• Primarily game night focused with no required weekday office hours
• Availability for approximately 20 or more home games during the season
• Nights, weekends, and high energy environments are part of the experience
• A fast paced setting where moments happen quickly and your photos need to keep up

Requirements

• Must have access to your own professional grade camera and photography equipment
• A portfolio or examples of your work are strongly encouraged
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and select holidays
• Experience with sports or action photography is helpful, but not required
