Photo Management Intern - Fall 2026

About the role

This is an excellent internship opportunity for someone interested in exploring the field of archives and digital asset management. The intern will gain exposure to the daily activities as well as the long-term goals of an institutional library and archives.

Responsibilities

• Learn best practices in the management of photos, both current and historical, in the WCS Library and Archives.
• Perform new ingesting and keywording workflows to improve access to current photos in WCS's digital asset management system.
• Record information about historical photos according to archival standards.
• (As time permits) Learn to digitize historical photos to improve their accessibility and preservation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate course of study.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Interest in learning about library archives and digital asset management.
• Must complete a background screening if accepted.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
