About the role
Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Photographer III located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities
- Work as a team member required to plan, set up, install, troubleshoot and maintain range photographic equipment.
- Monitor test operations and collect/evaluate data for accuracy and maintain databases.
- Support engineers and photographers during local test range operations, as well as travel missions to other DoD test sites.
Requirements
- 3 years of applicable experience; or at least 60 credit hours or an Associate's Degree and 2 years of applicable experience; or 30 credit hours and 2 years of application experience; or completion of a formal training program and 2 years of applicable experience.
- Photographer should be able to maintain photo/optical equipment, operate high-speed digital and imaging equipment, and subsequent processing of the imagery.
- Basic networking skills, including TCP/IP configuration, Ethernet cabling (Cat6/Fiber), and basic switch management.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
Qualifications
- Utilize Adobe Photoshop and Media Encoder for image enhancement and analysis.
- Must also configure IP-based camera networks for remote triggering and video data back-haul.
- Must be willing to work in adverse weather, unstable terrain, and in all outside conditions.
- Exceptional customer relationship skills are preferred.
