Photographer

WRGB/WCWN is looking for a creative full-time News Photographer who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories.

About the role

You will cover day-to-day general, in-depth features, and investigative assignments. We shoot full high-definition (HD) on media cards and edit on desktops and laptops. Strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems, excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a great attitude are essential. A passion for storytelling is absolutely required.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
• Produce compelling stories under tight deadlines
• Operate ENG news vehicles
• Lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis

Requirements

• At least 2 years of ENG shooting experience with a network affiliate news organization
• Technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to operate ENG news vehicles
• Strong non-linear editing skills
• Excellent people skills and a strong work ethic

Pay

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.40 to $19.40. Final compensation will be determined by relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
