Responsibilities
- Light, style, and photograph Ecomm product according to established Arhaus creative direction and lighting standards.
- Photograph company events, ceremonies, environmental portraits, etc. when required to support cross-functional and partner initiatives.
- Maintain an efficient workflow to ensure the completion of the daily production requirements.
- Digital asset management: file naming, organizing, and archival of image capture sessions.
- Maintain a high standard of quality for all deliverables in support of the Photography Manager.
- Create and maintain documentation of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Direct the Photography Assistant and/or Stylist on set.
- Training and facilitating of freelance photographers and photo assistants.
- Coordinate with Production and Operations personnel to ensure the timely movement of product, props, and assets on and off set safely and efficiently.
- Lift and move heavy furniture and photography equipment.
Skills
- Extensive experience with studio lighting and rigging.
- Advanced lighting techniques for glass and reflective materials.
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Capture One Studio, iOS, and MS 365.
- Use of Photoshop knowledge and experience to guide decision-making and best practices on set.
- An intuitive sense of image composition and understanding of additive color theory.
- Quickly and fluidly adapt to change.
- The ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Product styling and set styling.
- Basic carpentry skills and tool use.
- Self-starter seeking to learn, improve, and contribute to a team-based environment.
- Driven to exceed expectations and standards.
- High degree of integrity and accountability.
Qualifications
- Minimum Associate’s Degree in Photography.
- Printed portfolio or website showcasing previous work.
- 2+ years' experience as a Product Photographer.
- Understanding of best practices, responsibilities, and workflow within a large, fast-paced photography studio environment.
