Responsibilities

  • Light, style, and photograph Ecomm product according to established Arhaus creative direction and lighting standards.
  • Photograph company events, ceremonies, environmental portraits, etc. when required to support cross-functional and partner initiatives.
  • Maintain an efficient workflow to ensure the completion of the daily production requirements.
  • Digital asset management: file naming, organizing, and archival of image capture sessions.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality for all deliverables in support of the Photography Manager.
  • Create and maintain documentation of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Direct the Photography Assistant and/or Stylist on set.
  • Training and facilitating of freelance photographers and photo assistants.
  • Coordinate with Production and Operations personnel to ensure the timely movement of product, props, and assets on and off set safely and efficiently.
  • Lift and move heavy furniture and photography equipment.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with studio lighting and rigging.
  • Advanced lighting techniques for glass and reflective materials.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Capture One Studio, iOS, and MS 365.
  • Use of Photoshop knowledge and experience to guide decision-making and best practices on set.
  • An intuitive sense of image composition and understanding of additive color theory.
  • Quickly and fluidly adapt to change.
  • The ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Product styling and set styling.
  • Basic carpentry skills and tool use.
  • Self-starter seeking to learn, improve, and contribute to a team-based environment.
  • Driven to exceed expectations and standards.
  • High degree of integrity and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Associate’s Degree in Photography.
  • Printed portfolio or website showcasing previous work.
  • 2+ years' experience as a Product Photographer.
  • Understanding of best practices, responsibilities, and workflow within a large, fast-paced photography studio environment.
