About the role
To perform clerical and patient care support by registering, ordering, collecting, processing, and distributing clinical lab specimens and/or performing limited non-complex laboratory tests.
Responsibilities
- Register patients and order lab tests
- Collect clinical lab specimens via phlebotomy
- Process and distribute specimens
- Perform limited non-complex laboratory tests
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of a certified phlebotomy tech program
- 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a lab/hospital setting
- NYS Driver’s License upon hire
- Must meet and maintain criteria as per the Fleet Safety Program
- Data Entry Alpha Numeric (Hard Copy) proficiency
- Essential weight requirement: Medium (up to 50 lbs)
Schedule
- Part-time, benefit-eligible
- Bi-weekly standard hours: 39.75 (FTE: 0.53)
- Shifts: 5a–9a, 6a–10a, 7a–11a, 8a–12p, 9a–1p
- Weekend/holiday requirement: Yes
- On-call: No
- Work arrangement: Onsite
Pay
Salary range: $23.27 – $29.44 per hour. Wage determined based on candidate’s experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
