Phlebotomy Technician 1- Lab- FT- 3rd Shift

About the role

Obtains blood specimens from patients and delivers specimens to the laboratory and/or sends through the transport system. Correctly identifies patients and specimens.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• MLA certification from a nationally recognized credentialing agency (i.e. ASCP or AMT) preferred.
• Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 semester hours of biology and 6 semester hours of chemistry preferred.
• Previous work experience strongly preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
• Maintain absolute confidentiality in the handling of patient information.
• Maintain absolute integrity and accuracy in the patient identification process.
• Complete HeartSaver CPR by the end of the orientation period.
