Phlebotomy Lead-RCID

Essential Job Functions

• Schedules blood drawing services to ensure appropriate staffing and efficient workflow.
• Mentors and trains phlebotomy staff to promote quality and accuracy of services and patient safety.
• Develops and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for phlebotomy processes.
• Implements and oversees quality improvement initiatives for phlebotomy services.
• Maintains inventory of phlebotomy supplies to ensure uninterrupted services and efficient workflow.
• Collaborates with laboratory personnel and other healthcare professionals to improve processes and enhance service quality.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years clinical experience in a high complexity laboratory.
• BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
• Current Phlebotomy certification from one of the following agencies: ASCP, ORASPT, or NHA.
• Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant or Medical Laboratory Assistant by ASCP or AMT is acceptable.
• Current Licensed Advanced EMT/Paramedic or Certified MT/MLT (ASCP, AMT).
