This is an Hourly position. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Phlebotomy Instructor is responsible for developing and continually improving a comprehensive training program, including instructional and assessment materials, competencies, procedures, and learning resources in both manual and electronic formats. The training program will cover clinical phlebotomy techniques and classroom education to prepare new and existing team members for clinical phlebotomy, other lab specimen collections, and EKG procedures as necessary. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education High School Diploma or GED. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist.Completion of a formal, structured phlebotomy program. Licensure & Certification Must obtain Phlebotomy Technician (ASCP) certification within one year of hire.Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within six months of hire. Other Skills & Knowledge Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
