About the role
A Client Care Specialist (CCS2) contributes to AHF's mission by presenting a friendly, helpful face to patients seeking HIV testing and prevention services, STI screenings, and treatment in our Clinics and Fixed Site locations. A CCS2 is a hybrid role providing courteous, confidential, and professional support to clients within testing programs. A CCS2 enhances the reputation of AHF by embodying our commitment to excellence in patient care, patient retention, operational efficiency, and adaptability.
Responsibilities
- Collect medical histories
- Manage tests/screenings
- Record vitals
- Address health complaints
- Facilitate patient registration
- Appointment management
- Create electronic charts
- Data documentation, including referrals and reports
Requirements
- Valid phlebotomy license or current medical assistant (MA) certificate
- Skills in venipuncture and sample collection, including blood and other specimens, preparing them for laboratory analysis
- Ability to travel day to day to various Wellness and Fixed Site locations depending on staffing needs and directed by supervisor
Qualifications
To be successful as a CCS2, it is crucial to ensure that the AHF Core Values and Mission stay top of mind with all that you do. This individual must be able to collect medical histories, manage tests/screenings, record vitals, address health complaints, facilitate patient registration, manage appointments, create electronic charts, and document data including referrals and reports. They must also possess a valid phlebotomy license (OR) a current medical assistant (MA) certificate and be able to travel to various locations as needed.
