About the role

Laboratory Competency and Education Requirements

• Compliance with Laboratory Safety Policies & Procedures.
• Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the hospital and laboratory computer systems.
• Ability to read at a high school level.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively implement written and oral instructions.
• Ability to appropriately encounter individuals (patients, visitors, coworkers, medical staff and others) in a variety of situations and circumstances.
• Current Drivers License with no major citations, able to be covered under AMC auto insurance.
• Encouraged to become certified by ASCP or a similar qualifying agency (qualification determined by the Administrative Director) after one year of experience at JDAMH.

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Driver's License.
• Successful completion of in-house training.
